House Description

Welcome to ‘Chispas’, a three-bedroom villa, situated in a stunning location overlooking Lake Viñuela and the breathtaking mountain range beyond. The villa offers the perfect balance of tranquility and accessibility, tucked away in a peaceful location, yet just under an hour’s drive from Malaga airport.

The private swimming pool has a large terrace and sun loungers and is surrounded by attractive landscaped gardens. From here, you can explore the local area and take in the stunning natural beauty of the region, including the nearby Lake Viñuela. The villages of La Viñuela and Los Romanes with small supermarkets, restaurants and bars are just a short drive away.

Entrance

From the large covered terrace with table and six chairs, is the front door to hall leading to kitchen/dining area and sitting room, inner hall to bathroom and bedrooms.

Kitchen

Fully fitted, granite work surfaces, integrated appliances, electric oven and hob, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. There is a microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, with all the usual equipment to cater for holiday menus. A good selection of plastic tumblers, bowls and plates for poolside use are provided. There is a dining table and six chairs for inside eating. A door leads to:

Utility Room

Water heater, washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Sitting Room

A large double-aspect room, with two patio doors leading to the side and pool terrace, settee, armchairs, coffee tables, desk and bookcase with selection of books and games. There is a TV with English Channels, DVD player, and selection of DVDs. There is a log burner for winter use.

Master Bedroom

King size bed, with bedside tables and lamps, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers with mirror over, door leading to:

En-suite Bathroom

Toilet, shower cubicle, wash hand basin with wall unit, mirror with light over, bidet and towel rail.

Bedroom 2

Two single beds, fitted wardrobe, small chest of drawers, bedside table and lamp.

Family Bathroom

Toilet, shower cubicle, cabinet with basin, mirror with light over and extractor fan.

Bedroom 3

Double aspect room, with access to side terrace through a patio door. King-size bed, fitted headboard with built-in side tables, chest of drawers, free standing wardrobe and bedside lamps. Door leading to:

En-suite Bathroom

Toilet, shower cubicle, cabinet with basin, mirror with light over, window and extractor fan.

Outside

The front, side and pool terraces are spacious and private. The main covered area houses some outdoor furniture, including a dining table and six chairs. There are six sun loungers for the pool terrace, and several shaded areas to enjoy in this large Mediterranean-style garden surrounding the property. A gas BBQ with spare gas bottle is available, together with appropriate gloves and utensils that are stored in a kitchen drawer. There is also a decorative garden table and benches from where one can view the spectacular landscape with a morning or evening refreshment.

There is car parking for several cars.

Other

All rooms (except the utility) have insect screens and air-conditioning (except bathrooms and kitchen). There is guest WiFi throughout the property.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service

Because of airline luggage restrictions, linen and all towels, including pool towels are provided by the owners. The villa is properly cleaned prior to occupation and again in accordance with length of stay. Additional cleaning is provided as required, subject to charge.

Notes on accommodation.

There is no smoking inside the villa, however ashtrays are provided on the terraces. Baby equipment can be provided at no extra cost, e.g. cots and highchairs.. We are unable to accommodate pets.

Notes on prices.

Prices are in Pounds Sterling per week, and bookings will be confirmed upon payment of a 25% non-refundable deposit with the remainder to be paid in full, 6 weeks before your holiday start date. On receipt of your enquiry, we will hold your requested dates for seven days to allow your deposit to reach our bank account. We do not take a damage deposit; however, there is a mandatory accidental

damage waiver charge of £8GBp per person per booking. This covers accidental damage that may occur in your villa during your holiday and it will cover you up to the value of £150GBp. Negligent or willful behavior is not covered by this charge. Should this occur, you will be asked to cover the cost of this damage locally. This applies to standard bookings only; we will require an additional damage deposit if you are renting a property to hold a function.

 

Coast/Beach

One of the largest indoor shopping malls in the region, with a multiple screen cinema is only 15 minutes ’drive away. The mall has one of the largest supermarkets in the area with amazing local produce available. There are also numerous markets, two local 18-hole golf courses, and the nearest beaches are only 20 minutes ’drive away. There is an aqua park near to the shopping mall, the mall is located between the towns of Velez Malaga, and its seaside resort of Torre del Mar, both have large and very busy markets on Thursday mornings.

Golf

There are 2 very good local golf courses, both having spectacular views as you play. Baviera is 20 minutes ’drive and Anoreta is 30 minutes.

Skiing

We are about 95 minutes ’drive away from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada, the slopes are suitable for skiers of all levels of skill and experience, but you do not have to ski to have an excellent day out. There are separate free sledging runs for the children to enjoy, with sledges for hire at a few euros. The ski village is also an excellent place to visit in the summer where mountain bikes are available to hire.

Travel

Malaga airport is only 45 minute ’drive and Granada airport is just 25 minutes more. Owing to where we are, the use of a car is essential.

Distances

There are a huge number of things to do and places to visit. Within the immediate vicinity there are; Land Rover safaris in to the mountains, horse riding, quad biking, mountain biking, walking and hiking, bird watching, tennis and sailing, kayaking and fishing in the spectacular Lake Vinuela.

Further Details

Alcaucin, Puente don Manuel and Lake Vinuela are all very close and have lots of superb tapas bars and restaurants offering local well cooked dishes. They have markets on different days, and all have their own ‘fiestas’, full of colour, flamenco and local traditions.

During the summer, rarely does more than a few days pass when there is not a fiesta to be visited, celebrating: peaches, wine, grapes, raisins and not forgetting olives, basically any reason to party.

Changeover Day

We have no fixed changeover days, and we will always try to be flexible to suit your flights and arrival times, however, when it is unavoidable and to allow time for a proper clean; we would ask that you vacate by 10.00 and not arrive before 16.00. If arriving at the villa after 20.00 hrs there is a €50 surcharge and after 0.00 2.00 AM €90 paid locally

We can offer car rental from Malaga airport, our agent will meet you, hand you the keys and you will be on your way in minutes, potentially saving you up to an hour and a half, or more, queuing at the rental desk.

In the immediate area, you can walk, go birdwatching, paint, or for the more energetic; mountain bike, kayak or sail on Lake Vinuela.
