Location

House Description

We are close to the villages of La Viñuela and Los Romanes where supermarkets, restaurants and bars will be found, with the beaches of the Mediterranean just a short drive away.

Our large garden is completely fenced and gated, making it an exciting place for children to explore and play, it has numerous seating and sunbathing areas, the swimming pool being larger than most has the benefit of Roman steps down into the shallow end and is surrounded by palm trees. There is a covered outdoor dining terrace, the perfect setting to enjoy the stunning views across Lake Viñuela to Mount Maroma (2063m) and the Almijara and Tejeda mountain ranges whose changing colours have to be experienced. We have plenty of car parking space and a carport for that all important shade.

Booking notes

Bookings will be confirmed upon payment of a 25% non-refundable deposit with the remainder to be paid in full, 6 weeks before your holiday start date. On receipt of your enquiry, we will hold your requested dates for four days to allow your deposit to reach our bank account.

Welcome packs will be provided with each arrival of a week or more, and a ‘full shop’ can be pre-ordered no less than one week beforehand by email, at cost, plus a £25/€30Euros surcharge. Only people named on the booking form will be allowed to stay in the villa, and the maximum number of guests must not be exceeded, plus two infants.

There is a refundable accidental damage deposit to be paid in cash on arrival. It will cover accidental damage that may occur in your villa during your holiday up to the value of £150GBp. Negligent or willful damage is not covered by this charge. Should this occur you will be asked to cover the cost of this damage locally. The deposit will be refunded on completion of a clean and check at the end of your stay usually within five days.

We are able to offer extremely competitive car rental from Malaga airport.

Local days out can include: walking and cycling tours, boat trips, wakeboarding, sightseeing and even a flight from our local airstrip. 

In the immediate area you can; walk, go bird-watching, paint, or for the more energetic; mountain bike, kayak or sail on Lake Vinuela.

Accommodation

This is a luxury well furnished villa

Hallway: Entering the front door there are stairs to the upper level, a guest cloakroom and a door leading to a utility room housing the washing machine, iron and ironing board. Fitted smoke alarm, door leading to the garden.

Lounge

The well-furnished living/dining room has a fan assisted log-burning fire, a marble dining table that seats six. We have; TV, a DVD player, a music system and a selection of books for your enjoyment whilst staying in the villa. large window which affords stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Kitchen

This modern kitchen although small, is well equipped, with granite topped work surfaces, fridge freezer, integrated dishwasher, microwave  a split level oven and hob. Patio doors leading onto the outside dining terrace.

 

 There are two downstairs bedrooms, one with a double bed, and one with twins, the twin has an en-suite, both have air-conditioning, built in wardrobes, bedside cabinets and lights. Patio doors lead from one of the bedrooms out on to the terrace, and between the two there is an adjacent family bathroom. All windows have insect screens. Upstairs there is a double bedroom with air-conditioning, built-in wardrobes patio doors with insect screens which lead out onto the upper terrace with tremendous views over the lake. Along the landing there is a further bedroom with a double bed and air-conditioning.

On this level there is a study for quite times, desk and chair, plenty of books and a comfortable sofa, this is a mezzanine floor which overlooks the lounge.

Outside

There are several terraces, one with comfortable sofa and chairs, another with the outdoor dining table chairs and BBQ, plenty of other seating areas around the well maintained gardens, pergolas for much needed shade from the midday sun also table tennis.

There is a large swimming pool, a Mediterranean style garden with flowering shrubs and fruit trees, with ample car parking for several cars, including a car-port for that much needed shade.

There are a selection of books, toys and games for guests use.

Cleaning/towels/linen/cleaning service

Due to airline luggage restrictions, linen and all towels, including pool towels are provided by the owners. The villa is thoroughly cleaned prior to occupation. There will be a mid stay clean for guests staying ten nights or more, the housekeepers will change the bed linen, bathroom towels and clean the bathrooms. Additional cleaning is provided as required but will be subject to extra charge.

Notes on accommodation

There is no smoking inside the villa, however ashtrays are provided on the terraces. Baby equipment can be provided at a small charge on a first come service  e.g. cots, highchair. 

Changeover day

We have no fixed changeover days and we will always try to be flexible to suit your flights and arrival times, however, when it is unavoidable and to allow time for a thorough clean; we would ask that you vacate by 10.00 and not arrive before 16.00, occasionally on departure day the pool man or gardeners might be there before you leave. There will be a surcharge of €50 for arrivals after 20.00 and for scheduled arrivals and departures between the hours of 00.01 – 02.00. a surcharge of €90
