Villa Velez offers a cozy retreat nestled in the heart of the picturesque Axarquia region, boasting stunning views of Mount Maroma and the nearby Lake Viñuela. This charming two-bedroom villa provides all the comforts of home against a backdrop of natural beauty.
Accommodation Details:
Kitchen: Upon entering through the side door, guests are greeted by a modern, fully equipped kitchen. Complete with an oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave oven, washing machine and dishwasher, the kitchen also features ample cupboard space stocked with crockery and cutlery. A dining table with seating for four provides a perfect spot for enjoying meals together. There is an iron and ironing board available too.
Lounge: The lounge area is adorned with a comfortable sofa and chairs, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration. Guests can unwind in front of the foreign language TV or on the terrace. During cooler evenings, a wood burner adds warmth and ambiance to the space. Sliding doors open onto a terrace, inviting guests to enjoy the breathtaking views. There is a ceiling fan in the lounge.
Bedrooms:
- Bedroom 1: This inviting bedroom features a double bed, bedside tables with lamps, a fitted wardrobe, and a chest of drawers for storage.
- Bedroom 2: Ideal for additional guests, this bedroom offers two single beds, a bedside table with a lamp, a chest of drawers, and a fitted wardrobe. Both bedrooms have fitted ceiling fans.
Bathroom: The villa’s bathroom boasts a spacious walk-in shower, a wash hand basin set within a vanity unit, and a toilet, providing guests with all the necessary amenities for their stay. There is also a hair dryer for guests use.
Outside Terrace: Step outside onto the tiled terrace, where a dining table and chairs, sun loungers and a sunshade offer an idyllic setting for alfresco meals with panoramic mountain views. There are four sunbeds invite guests to soak up the Spanish sunshine in comfort.
Pool: A shared pool, just a few short metres from the villa, provides guests with a refreshing retreat for cooling off on warm days.
Local Amenities: For convenience, guests can explore the nearby village of Puente Don Manuel, where they will find a variety of shops and amenities including a baker, butcher, supermarkets, restaurants, bars, and cafés. Additionally, the larger town of Velez-Malaga is a fifteen-minute drive away, offering access to a shopping complex and supermarkets like Eroski and Lidl. For those seeking sun and sand, the nearest beach at Torre del Mar is just a short drive on from here.

- Nerja is a popular resort among Brits, while Frigiliana is a charming white village close by.
- Both are a 40-minute drive from the villa.
- Explore Malaga:
- Malaga is an hour’s drive away, or you can take a bus ride from Torre del Mar for about €5 return.
- Highlights include the port area, shopping, historic centre, beaches, and cultural features.
- Weekly Markets:
- Markets are held at nearby Torre, Velez (Thursdays), and Caleta de Mar (Saturday mornings).
- Cycling and Walking:
- Excellent opportunities for cycling and walking in the mountainous area.
- Best cycling is in the mountains, while the Parque Natural offers great walking trails.
- Welcome Pack and Shopping:
- A complimentary welcome pack is provided for stays of one week or more.
- A full shop can be pre-ordered by email at cost, plus a €30 surcharge.
- €150 security deposit required, returned upon a villa check and final cleaning.
