House Description

This three bedroom, two bathroom villa has stunning views of Lake Vinuela and the mountains. The private swimming pool is solar heated and totally surrounded by pretty gardens.

There are a variety of restaurants close to the property around the shores of the lake and in the local villages of Los Romanes and La Vinuela where they offer menus to suit every taste.

A feature of the property is the well-furnished lounge with its two sets of patio-doors opening on to the garden and terrace areas. There is a covered terrace which creates a perfect setting for the outdoor dining which is part of the lifestyle we enjoy here in Southern Spain. There are views from here across Lake Viñuela and the mountains, whose changing colours have to be experienced. All rooms have insect screens, air conditioning blowing warm for the winter months, and wood burning stove in the lounge, complimentary Wifi.

The villa is well decorated and equipped to an equally high standard, and really is a home from home.


The well-furnished living room has a fan assisted log-burning fire and air-conditioning, sofa and chairs, coffee table, Flat screen Satellite TV with UK channels with a DVD player, and a selection of books and games, for your enjoyment whilst staying in the villa. Two sets of patio doors lead to the terraces and garden which affords stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains; these also give access to the pool.


There is a modern fully fitted kitchen, with granite work surfaces, integrated appliances, electric oven and hob, well stocked with utensils, table and chairs for six people, door leading to;

Here you will find the gas boiler, washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Straight outside the front door overlooking the pool and lake, takes you onto a large covered terrace where you will find a dining table and six chairs for outdoor dining.  From this terrace there is also an added sun blind to pull out should you need to put the sun loungers from the poolside under cover from mid day sun.

There is a large heated swimming pool; the pool is heated by a solar mat, therefore is totally dependent on sunshine. The villa is surrounded by a well-kept Mediterranean style garden with flowering shrubs and fruit trees, a truly relaxing place. There is ample car parking for several cars.


There are a selection of books, toys and games for guests use.

Cleaning/towels/linen/maid service

Because of airline luggage restrictions, linen and all towels, including pool towels are provided by the owners. The villa is properly cleaned prior to occupation and again in accordance with length of stay. Additional cleaning is provided as required, subject to charge.

Notes on accommodation

There is no smoking inside the villa, however ashtrays are provided on the terraces. Baby equipment can be provided at no extra cost, e.g. cots and highchairs. A golf club hire service is available upon request. We are unable to accommodate pets.

Notes on prices

Prices are in Pounds Sterling per week, and bookings will be confirmed upon payment of a 25% non-refundable deposit with the remainder to be paid in full, 6 weeks before your holiday start date. On receipt of your enquiry, we will hold your requested dates for seven days to allow your deposit to reach our bank account.

We do not take a damage deposit; however, there is a mandatory accidental damage waiver charge of £8GBp per person per booking. This covers accidental damage that may occur in your villa during your holiday and it will cover you up to the value of £150GBp. Negligent or wilful behaviour is not covered by this charge. Should this occur you will be asked to cover the cost of this damage locally. This applies to standard bookings only, we will require an additional damage deposit if you are renting a property to hold a function.

Changeover Day

We have no fixed changeover days and we will always try to be flexible to suit your flights and arrival times, however, when it is unavoidable and to allow time for a proper clean; we would ask that you vacate by 10.00 and not arrive before 16.00. If arriving at the villa after 20.00 hrs there is a €50 surcharge and after 0.00 2.00 AM €100 paid locally

Other Services

We can offer extremely competitive car rental from Malaga airport, alternatively we can arrange to transfer you to the villa from the airport and the car will be delivered to your villa. Should you arrange to collect your car at the airport, our agent will meet you, hand you the keys and you will be on your way in minutes, potentially saving you up to an hour and a half, or more, queuing at the rental desk.

You can have a chef to come to the villa and cook a memorable dinner for you, they will cook, serve and clear away….you wont know that they have been!

We can arrange for days out that include, walking, and cycling tours, boat trips, wake-boarding, sightseeing and even a flight from our local airstrip.

In the immediate area, you can walk, go bird-watching, paint, or for the more energetic; mountain bike, kayak or sail on Lake Vinuela.


One of the largest indoor shopping malls in the region, with a multiple screen cinema is only 15 minutes’ drive away. The mall has one of the largest supermarkets in the area with amazing local produce available. There are also numerous markets, two local 18-hole golf courses, and the nearest beaches are only 20 minutes’ drive away. There is an aqua park near to the shopping mall, where you can ‘possibly’ catch a tram to the bustling main town of Velez Malaga, and its seaside resort of Torre del Mar, both have large and very busy markets on Thursday mornings.


There are 2 very good local golf courses, both having spectacular views as you play. Baviera is 20 minutes’ drive and Anoreta is 30 minutes. We have several full sets of right-handed clubs, tees, and balls available for hire.


We are about 95 minutes’ drive away from the ski slopes of the Sierra Nevada, the slopes are suitable for skiers of all levels of skill and experience, but you do not have to ski to have an excellent day out. There are separate free sledging runs for the children to enjoy, with sledges for hire at a few euros. The ski village is also an excellent place to visit in the summer where mountain bikes are available to hire.


Malaga airport is only 45 minutes’ drive and Granada airport is just 25 minutes more, airport transfers can be arranged with an English driver who knows exactly where the villa is located. Owing to where we are, the use of a car is essential.


There are a huge number of things to do and places to visit. Within the immediate vicinity there are; Land Rover safaris in to the mountains, horse riding, quad biking, mountain biking, walking and hiking, bird watching, tennis and sailing, kayaking and fishing in the spectacular Lake Vinuela. Sightseeing tours can be arranged to The Alhambra Palace, Nerja and the Caves, the water park, Malaga Botanical Gardens, Malaga city, Benalmadena marina, Ronda, and Gibraltar.

Further Details

Alcaucin, Puente don Manuel and Lake Vinuela are all very close and have lots of superb tapas bars and restaurants offering local well cooked dishes. They have markets on different days and all have their own ‘fiestas’, full of colour, flamenco and local traditions.

During the summer, rarely does more than a few days pass when there is not a fiesta to be visited, celebrating; peaches, wine, grapes, raisins and not forgetting olives, basically any reason to party. Car hire can be arranged.
